Take Action

Every year many pets, wild animals and some children are poisoned by ingesting antifreeze, which contains ethylene glycol. They are attracted to this danger by the fact that the liquids taste sweet. A simple solution to prevent these needless and painful poisonings is to add a bittering agent to the products, which would make them unpalatable. There is federal legislation to do just that sitting in committees as you read this. If you think this legislation would be a good idea, please call/write/email your legislators and ask them to co-sponsor either HR 2567 in Congress or S 1110 in the Senate.
